Improving Asylum Procedures through the Quality Initiative

The Asylum Systems Quality Assurance and Evaluation Mechanism (ASQAEM) Project studies and audits asylum procedures in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. The project's purpose is to help achieve one of the core protection goals of UNHCR across the European Union: supporting the continuous development of fair and efficient asylum procedures that are based on the full and inclusive application of the 1951 Convention.
